“Expedient Recoilless Launcher: Panzerfaust” Book now Available

A couple of weeks back we covered a great piece of Form 1 building by Jonathan Wild. Jonathan ended up constructing a From 1 Panzerfaust Recoiless Launcher at home which was capable of launching the projectiles up to 120 yards with pretty consistent results. Jonathan has now released his very own book Expedient Recoilless Launcher: PanzerfaustThe book goes in-depth into the history, design, schematics, and results of his own experience.

Jonathan Ward and his Wild Arms Research and Development (WARD) project have been coming up with some pretty exciting and novel DIY firearms projects like his semi-caseless ammunition we covered previously.  Although he has many projects going on, it seems that Jonathan’s main passion lies with the German Panzerfaust (Tank Fist/Armor Fist). The recoilless launcher was first launched in 1943 and used extensively by the Axis forces during WWII to great effect.

Jonathan’s new book goes over historical examples of recoilless rifles, the basic working principles around the type of warhead used as well as a full detailing of how he made his own panzerfaust. Jonathan also shares his test fire data with his own homemade projectiles which could prove to be an invaluable safety measure for those looking to produce their own replica Panzerfaust. The book will contain full details and high-quality pictures and give you insight into Jonathan’s own experiences in producing the platform for himself.

I’d like to personally thank Jonathan for giving me an advance look at his book as it is truly a great collection of data, history, and solid practical information for any firearms enthusiast and I’d wholeheartedly recommend you give the book a read if you’re interested in WWII era small arms technology.
